Residents of Douglas Street, Wallsend, were jolted awake just after 4 AM on Monday when a car plowed through a fence and into a backyard, causing chaos. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 484 rushed to the scene, while Newcastle City Police District officers arrived soon after.
