Around 2pm this afternoon emergency services confronted by a horrific scene outside Sea World on the Gold Coast.
Two helicopters collided mid air and came crashing down onto sandy embankment outside sea world.
Four people died at the scene and three other passengers were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Acting police inspector Gary Worrell said it was a “difficult scene” for emergency services to access.
Worrell said it appeared the helicopters crashed while one was taking off and the other was landing.
