A child has been injured after she was attacked by a dog in her backyard at Abermain this afternoon.
About 3pm (Sunday 5 April 2020), the 10-year-old girl was playing with her dog when it bit her several times to the face and arm.
The child was able to escape the dog and her parents provided first aid before contacting emergency services.
