101st Remembrance Day will mark 101 years since the the armistice treaty was signed which brought an end to the fighting of the first world war on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
The First World War officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919.

Remembrance Day will be held at the Cessnock War Memorial (Next to the Tafe Grounds) it is advised to arrive early due to roadworks in the area or walk if possible. Please arrive by 10:30am

Remembrance Day will be held at Rotary park in Kurri Kurri if driving to its recommended to arrive early to find suitable parking near the event. Please arrive by 10:30am
Weston
Remembrance Day will be held at Weston’s memorial park (including a flypast by the RAAF’s No 76 Squadron at 10.55am) and the Greta rotunda (a combined service with the Branxton RSL Sub-branch). Please arrive by 10:30am
