15-Year-Old Charged with Alcohol-Related Thefts in Lake Macquarie and Newcastle
A 15-year-old girl from Windale has been charged in connection with a series of alcohol-related thefts across Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. Since April 13, 2024, she allegedly stole large quantities of alcohol from retailers in Jesmond, Toronto, Morisset, Warners Bay, Mayfield, Glendale, Cardiff, and Edgeworth.
Police estimate the value of the stolen alcohol to be substantial. Officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District arrested and charged the teenager with multiple theft offenses yesterday. She has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in Broadmeadow Children’s Court on June 17, 2024.
