2.2 million Australians could be in for a massive pay rise if Labor is elected at the next election. Labor leader Anthony Albanese believes that no one should be left behind as inflation sky rockets and threatening the wallets of everyday Australians

“We think no-one should go backwards.”

Labor leader Anthony Albanese said he would “absolutely” support an increase of 5.1 percent of the minimum wage in line with inflation, catching many by surprise.

The business community says this may add to inflationary pressures, adding more costs to businesses would ultimately lead to higher inflation.

Finance Minister Simon Birmingham accused Albanese of “making up economic policy on the run”.
