A 43-year-old woman has been disqualified from driving after returning a high range reading on a roadside breath test.
About 8:40pm on Sunday the 18th of December our general duties officers stopped a vehicle on Brunker Road Broadmeadow. A roadside breath test was conducted on the 43-year-old driver.
The driver underwent a breath test which returned a positive reading. She was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.259 (high-range). The driver was issued with a court attendance notice to appear before Newcastle Local Court in January 2023 and licence was immediately suspended.
