An ongoing investigation is underway following the discovery of a deceased man in a parked car at Umina Beach earlier today. Authorities responded to the scene at Trafalgar Avenue around 3.15 am this morning (Monday, 16th October 2023). The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was found with stab wounds.
The identity of the victim has yet to be confirmed. To handle the case, detectives from the Brisbane Water Police District, along with support from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, have established a crime scene and initiated a thorough investigation.
In a related development, a 30-year-old man voluntarily appeared at Gosford Police Station around 7.30 am. He was subsequently taken into custody and later transferred to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for lacerations under police supervision.
