Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a serious multi-vehicle crash involving four trucks on the M1 Pacific Motorway southbound near Morisset.
All southbound lanes are now closed, with motorists urged to exit at Morisset to avoid the area. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been dispatched, and there are reports of at least one person possibly trapped in the wreckage.
The crash occurred just past Mandalong Road, and the incident is causing extensive delays. Authorities warn the motorway is expected to remain closed for several hours while emergency crews work at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, delay travel if possible, and monitor Live Traffic updates.
