The search for a 45-year-old man who went missing yesterday has come to a tragic end. Police have found a body believed to be that of the missing man at Valentine in Lake Macquarie.
The man was last seen leaving a hospital on Croudace Bay Road, Belmont, at around 3 am on Tuesday. When he couldn’t be located, authorities were notified, and a massive search operation involving Lake Macquarie Police District officers, SES, Surf Life Saving, Fire and Rescue, and PolAir was launched.
The body was discovered by police around 1.30 pm today. A report will be prepared for the Coroner. More details to come as the story develops
