A well-known Hunter Valley vineyard has been robbed and vandalised overnight, forcing it to close its doors this morning as police investigate.
Officers are currently at the scene at Ivanhoe Wines, where staff arrived to find significant damage to the cellar door.
In a statement released this morning, the winery said:
“Overnight our cellar door was robbed and vandalised. We will be closed until 1pm today while we clean up and the Police complete their investigation.”
The popular winery has delayed opening until 1pm while clean-up efforts continue and authorities conduct their inquiries.
It’s unclear at this stage what was stolen or the extent of the damage. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
