In a significant breakthrough, a third suspect has been apprehended in connection with the home invasion and fatal shooting in Heddon Greta last December. The arrest was made during a pre-dawn operation on January 16, 2024, in Elermore Vale. The 25-year-old man is currently in custody at Waratah Police Station, awaiting formal charges. Concurrently, a search warrant is being executed at a residence in Elermore Vale.
This development comes as part of the ongoing investigation by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, operating under Strike Force Roslyn, supported by the Hunter Valley Police District and Northern Region officers. The tragic incident on December 27, 2022, claimed the life of 25-year-old Zachery ‘Zac’ Davies-Scott during what authorities believe was a home invasion gone awry.
Two individuals are already facing charges related to the incident. A 25-year-old woman was arrested on January 5, 2024, on charges of hindering the investigation and possessing a prohibited drug, with her court appearance scheduled for January 23, 2024, at Kurri Kurri Local Court.
