Woman trapped after car crashes into power pole at Pokolbin

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley after a vehicle struck a power pole on Oakey Creek Road.

Initial reports indicate a woman is trapped inside the vehicle.

There are also concerns a transformer mounted on the pole may be at risk of falling onto the car.

Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, and police are currently at the scene working to stabilise the situation and free the occupant safely.
