A bus carrying school students has crashed into a tree in Sydney’s west, prompting a major emergency response.
The crash occurred on Erskine Park Road at Erskine Park about 1pm on Thursday.
Fire and Rescue NSW said all students were safely evacuated from the bus and assessed by paramedics at the scene. Several children reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The bus driver became trapped in the vehicle following the crash but was freed by emergency crews a short time later.
NSW Police, NSW Ambulance and representatives from the Department of Education remain at the scene as investigations continue.
Authorities have confirmed there were no reports of serious injuries.
