News Alert: Status of Singleton Bypass and Other Infrastructure Projects Under Review
Recent reports have suggested that the Singleton Bypass, along with other infrastructure projects in the region, may be at risk of budget cuts. On May 1st, The Guardian reported that Australian infrastructure projects are currently under review for potential budget cuts, including those that have not yet commenced.
In response to these reports, local politician Dan Repacholli claimed that the rumours of the Singleton Bypass being cancelled were bullshit. However, given the current review of infrastructure projects, it is unclear at this time what the status of the Singleton Bypass will be.
On May 2nd, the Minister for Infrastructure, Catherine King, announced that a review will be conducted on all infrastructure projects that have not yet commenced, including the Singleton Bypass. This review will determine which projects will be given the green light and which will face budget cuts.
It is important to note that as of now, no decision has been made on the Singleton Bypass or any other infrastructure project. The review is ongoing, and a final decision will be made in due course. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
