A 39-year-old man has been hospitalized following a violent altercation in a car park at a popular shopping complex on Terrigal Drive, Erina. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene just after 7:20 PM on Monday, 16 September 2024, where they found the victim with stab wounds to his chest and left arm. Paramedics from NSW Ambulance administered on-site treatment before rushing the injured man to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police from the Brisbane Water Police District have launched an investigation into the incident. Early reports suggest that the two men involved briefly spoke inside the shopping complex before the altercation escalated in the parking area, resulting in the stabbing.
