In a harrowing incident, a Cessnock resident has sounded a warning to the community following an alleged violent carjacking on Vincent St overnight. According to the report, the victim was parked behind the Vincent when approached by two individuals requesting a lift. Shockingly, the situation quickly turned violent as the assailants forcibly removed the victim from the vehicle, assaulted him, and fled with his phone and car.
The stolen vehicle was later discovered torched behind an East Cessnock storage facility in the early hours of this morning. Urging vigilance among residents, the concerned woman appealed for any available information or photos related to recent car thefts.
The victim’s burnt-out car was recovered with all of his work equipment and phone destroyed.
