Cessnock Roadworks Blitz: Key Streets and Suburbs Affected This Week
Cessnock City Council has outlined its upcoming maintenance and infrastructure works across the Local Government Area for the week ahead, with projects to proceed weather permitting.
Crews and contractors will be active across multiple suburbs, delivering road upgrades, repairs and general maintenance.
In Kitchener, construction of a shared pathway is continuing along Richmond Street, while works in the Branxton Town Centre are nearing completion with finalisation of new concrete paths.
Pothole repair programs will roll out across several areas including Pelaw Main, Paxton, Kurri Kurri and Weston as Council responds to ongoing road maintenance needs.
Grading of unsealed roads is scheduled for Pokolbin Mountains Road in Pokolbin, along with works in Quorrobolong, Kitchener and Congewai. Unsealed shoulder grading will also take place in parts of Kitchener.
Roadside slashing is planned for both Quorrobolong and Kitchener, while drainage maintenance will be carried out in the Greta area and along Wollong Road at Quorrobolong.
Across Cessnock, residents can also expect kerb and gutter works at various locations.
Council is reminding residents that all works are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
