Cessnock is set for a major revitalization, with the federal government announcing a $14 million investment to transform Apex Park into a thriving community precinct.
Federal Minister Catherine King joined Cessnock Mayor Daniel Watton to unveil the funding, which will see the underutilized space redeveloped to better connect local businesses, community groups, service providers, and the Cessnock Pool recreation area.

The project aims to boost Cessnock’s appeal for both residents and tourists, reinforcing its role as a gateway to the Hunter Valley region. The investment is expected to drive economic growth, improve amenities, and enhance the town’s overall livability.
