A violent stabbing at a busy Central Coast restaurant has left a 63-year-old man fighting for his life, with police swiftly charging a 40-year-old suspect.
Emergency services were called to a restaurant on The Entrance Road at The Entrance just before 6pm on Friday, 26 December, following reports a man had been stabbed. Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene, treating the victim for stab wounds before he was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
Police established a crime scene and launched an urgent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. A 40-year-old man, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested nearby at Long Jetty and taken to Wyong Police Station.
He was charged with reckless wounding (domestic violence) and breach of an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order. The man was refused bail and is due to appear before Parramatta Bail Court Division 6 today, Saturday 27 December 2025.
