Police are currently investigating a violent incident at a Hamilton chicken shop that took place last night. Emergency services responded to an altercation between two men, where the shop owner, aged 35, was reportedly struck with a bottle by a 29-year-old man he was escorting from the premises.
In response, the owner allegedly stabbed the younger man in the neck, causing non-life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were taken to the John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
Beaumont Street was temporarily cordoned off as authorities work to establish the details surrounding the incident. Witnesses and those with relevant information or dashcam footage are encouraged to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
