A Westpac Rescue Helicopter was scrambled on Christmas Day following a serious motorcycle crash at Millfield, southwest of Cessnock.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 4pm on Thursday 25 December after a motorcycle accident left a man in his 40s injured. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider at the scene alongside the helicopter’s critical care medical team.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the man was stabilised before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
