Carrington, May 14th, 2023 — In a late-night collision on Darling Street, Carrington, a 26-year-old male driver of a Toyota coupe was apprehended by Newcastle City Police District officers for suspected drunk driving.
After a positive breath test, indicating the presence of alcohol, the driver was swiftly arrested and transported to Newcastle Police Station. A subsequent breath analysis revealed an alarming reading of 0.177. As a result, his license was immediately suspended, and he was issued a court attendance notice to face charges in Newcastle Local Court.
