News Alert: Drunk Driver Takes Toyota Sedan onto Railway Tracks in Hamilton
Early this morning, a bizarre incident unfolded in Hamilton as a 21-year-old driver ventured onto the railway tracks adjacent to Hamilton Railway Station, traveling approximately 100 meters before getting stuck.
Following his departure from a nearby licensed venue, the driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, reportedly yielding a positive result.
The subsequent secondary test at Newcastle Police returned a reading of 0.135. As a consequence, the driver’s license was suspended, and he received a court attendance notice for drive with middle range PCA, slated for Newcastle Local Court on November 30, 2023.
