Emergency crews were called to a reported rubbish fire in Raymond Terrace at around 5:20am today, which was later upgraded to a suspected house fire while crews were en route.
On arrival, firefighters confirmed the blaze involved a large pile of rubbish well alight, rather than a residential structure. Crews moved quickly to bring the fire under control and successfully extinguished it.
Fire authorities thanked NSW RFS Raymond Terrace Brigade and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 454 Tarro for their swift support and assistance at the scene.
