Emergency services responded in the early hours of Sunday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. The incident occurred just after 2:15am, prompting NSW Ambulance to request assistance from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
A man in his 30s sustained head injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics alongside the helicopter’s critical care medical team. After stabilisation, he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
