End of an Era: After 33 Years, Dr. Ken Dobler Announces Retirement from GP Practice

Dr. Ken Dobler Announces Retirement Due to Health and Family Issues

After weeks of speculation, Dr. Ken Dobler has announced his retirement from his GP practice. In a statement released yedterday, Dr. Dobler cited a combination of significant health issues and urgent family matters as the reasons for his decision.

“I am no longer able to devote the time that is needed to be a good family GP, and I have decided to withdraw from my GP practice,” said Dr. Dobler.

Although he will be stepping down from his practice, Dr. Dobler will still support Cessnock Hospital and the Goannas. Over the next three months, he will work to find doctors to replace him and ensure a smooth transition for his patients.

Dr. Dobler has been a part of the community for over 33 years and expressed his hope to continue to be a member of the community that he has grown to love.

“I would appreciate it if people did not comment on this post as no matter whether the comments are kind or not so kind I know they will all add to my sadness in making this decision,” said Dr. Dobler.
