Tragedy Strikes as Local Property Owner Perishes in Rural BushfireLast night, tragedy struck a rural property 30km west of Kempsey, as a 56-year-old man lost his life in a bushfire at Stony Creek Lane in Temagog.
Concerns arose after the fire swept through the area, prompting emergency services to respond at 10.15 pm on Monday, 16th October 2023.The authorities from the Mid North Coast Police District, upon arrival, discovered the body of the local property owner. Sadly, his bulldozer was found destroyed nearby.
While the man’s identity remains undisclosed, it’s believed he was a resident of the area.The incident is currently under investigation, with a crime scene already established. A report for the Coroner will be prepared to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
