A tragic two-vehicle crash at Long Jetty on the Central Coast has claimed the life of a woman in her 90s.
Emergency services were called to Wyong Road at approximately 2:50 PM today (Sunday, 1 December 2024), following reports of a collision between a sedan and a utility vehicle.
Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the elderly driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been formally confirmed.
The utility’s driver, a 55-year-old man, was transported to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.
Tuggerah Lakes Police District officers established a crime scene and have begun investigations into the circumstances of the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
