A female civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged following an investigation into alleged serious domestic violence offences in the state’s north.

Police said an investigation commenced on Thursday, June 25, into allegations involving a civilian employee attached to a command in the Northern Region.

On Friday, June 26, officers arrested the 44-year-old woman and took her to Windsor Police Station, where she was charged with seven offences.

The charges include three counts of stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm (domestic violence-related), assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, false imprisonment, and intentionally choking a person without consent in a domestic violence setting.

The woman was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 8 today (Saturday, June 27).

NSW Police said the employee’s employment status is currently under review.
