Flood Rescue Suspended: Driver Still Missing Despite Multi-Agency Efforts

A coordinated flood rescue operation at Young’s Road, Limpinwood, has been temporarily suspended after crews located a vehicle swept away by flash floodwaters but were unable to find its driver. On Saturday evening, 18 January 2025, the Tweed District Rescue Squad – VRA Rescue NSW responded to reports of a water rescue after a vehicle was caught in rising floodwaters on a nearby causeway.
