A devastating tragedy has struck the central north of New South Wales, as a four-month-old baby boy tragically passed away after being rushed to John Hunter Hospital.
On Tuesday, January 21, the child was first taken to Gunnedah Hospital with severe injuries. He was then transferred to John Hunter Hospital, where he sadly died later that evening.
Oxley Police District, in collaboration with the Homicide Squad and the Child Abuse Squad, have launched an investigation into the baby’s death, calling the operation Strike Force Monier.
