Emergency crews were called this afternoon to rescue a horse that had fallen into a septic tank.
Quick-thinking neighbours heard the commotion, alerted the horse’s owner, and called for help, enabling a rapid response.
Fire and rescue personnel worked alongside the NSW Rural Fire Service and a local veterinarian, using large animal rescue equipment to safely extricate the horse.
The animal sustained minor cuts, bruises, and a sore leg but was safely reunited with its companions while receiving ongoing veterinary care.
