Just before 4:30am, emergency crews were called to a house fire at Canton Beach, with Budgewoi Pumper responding alongside units from Toukley (470) and Hamlyn Terrace (434).

On arrival, firefighters found the home fully engulfed, with flames already issuing from the structure and significant compromise to its structural integrity.

Crews adopted a defensive attack strategy to bring the blaze under control, successfully extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby properties. No further damage to surrounding homes was reported.
