A Cessnock motel says it has reached breaking point after teenagers were caught on video jumping the fence and entering the pool area after hours, prompting management to issue a stern public warning.
Cessnock Motel management says the behaviour has become a daily problem, with children trespassing on private property, climbing walls to gain access, and disturbing paying guests.
In a statement, the motel said the conduct is unsafe, illegal, and disruptive, stressing that guests expect privacy and a peaceful stay.
Management says the teens have been repeatedly warned, but the behaviour has continued. As a result, they have now issued a final warning:
- The pool is for registered motel guests only
- All trespassers will now be reported directly to NSW Police
- CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify those involved
- Parents and guardians will be held responsible
The motel urged parents to speak with their children immediately, saying they want to avoid involving authorities but must prioritise guest safety.
Cessnock Motel management thanked the community for its understanding as they work to stop the ongoing issue.
