Around 6pm on Friday, 26 September, emergency services were called to a serious quad bike accident at Bridgman, north of Singleton in the Hunter Valley. The incident prompted the dispatch of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, tasked by NSW Ambulance to provide rapid medical assistance.
A woman in her 40s, involved in the rollover, sustained spinal injuries and received urgent treatment at the scene. NSW Ambulance paramedics worked alongside the helicopter’s critical care medical team to stabilise her condition before she was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital for further care.
Authorities have not released details on the circumstances surrounding the accident, and investigations are ongoing. Emergency services have urged the community to exercise caution when riding all-terrain vehicles, highlighting the potential risks involved.
The swift response by both ambulance and air medical crews ensured the woman received critical care as quickly as possible, underlining the vital role of air rescue services in rural and regional incidents.
