It’s time to take the masks off in the Hunter.

It’s been 7 days now under the mask mandate and not a single Covid case in the Greater Hunter Region, so why the bloody hell are we still wearing masks?

Greater Sydney is in lockdown and movements have been largely restricted and yet we are still being mandated to put our muzzles on, there is very little risk here in the Hunter, yet the Health Authorities who have taken over the state say we must wear the masks for your own protection.

Every business is now mandated to enforce QR code check ins and the chemist is also enforcing the use of hand sanitiser upon entry.

Just trust the science they tell you, but why should we trust the science? The science is the most likely cause of pandemic, thankful we can say that without being banned by the so called fact checkers on Facebook now.

The facts are the Hunter remains Covid free, and masks are unnecessary at this stage.

Whilst we can all agree masks are uncomfortable to wear, masks should only be worn when absolutely necessary.

It’s the same people who tell you single use plastic straws are bad, are the ones who demand you put on your plastic medical face mask on, how ironic, the humble medical mask takes 450 years to breakdown.

You might say, but I’m wearing a cotton mask and I’m being environmentally friendly, good for you, but I’d suggest you check the science on cloth masks and make an informed decision on your mask choice.

But for now the mask mandate remains in place and you will be fined or dragged off the train or out of the supermarket if you breach the health order.
