Emergency services were called to a puppy ‘Diesel’ in distressed after the puppy had snuck into the engine bay of the owners SUV. The owners traveled from Singleton to Branxton down the Hunter Expressway before hearing a strange howling sound coming from the engine, they immediately pulled over to discovered their 18 month old Jack Russell was firmly stuck inside the engine bay.
Branxton Fire and Rescue responded to the puppy in distress, and were very concerned for Diesels welfare as he was very quiet as the crew sought to free the him. Fortunately Diesel was pulled out unharmed and checked over by a fire and rescue crew member who is also a qualified emergency vet nurse who gave the puppy the all clear to go home for some much needed rest.
