A significant area of grass along the New England Highway in Ravensworth ignited approximately 20 minutes ago, according to the latest report from the NSW Rural Fire Service. The fire, classified as a “Grass Fire,” is currently marked as “Out of Control” and is heading towards the New England Highway in the Singleton Council area.
In response to the situation, the RFS has requested bulk water assistance to help contain the rapidly spreading blaze. Firefighters are working tirelessly to prevent the fire from encroaching upon the nearby highway and nearby properties.
