FIRE UPDATE 0645hrs Fri 6 Dec – Fire Danger Rating Severe
LITTLE L COMPLEX – The Fire returned to Watch and Act level overnight. The fire is burning to the west of Paynes Crossing, Laguna and Wollombi and is moving in an easterly direction towards the Great North Road. The fire danger rating for today is severe and the Little L fires are expected to threaten properties today, due to hot, dry and windy conditions.
If you are in the area of Paynes Crossing, activate your bush fire survival plan. if your plan is to leave, leave now before conditions change.
If you are in the area of Laguna or Yengo, leave now towards Cessnock.
If you are in the area of Wollombi and Congewai, your safest option is to leave early. Stay up to date on the bush fire situation and be ready to take action.
