LITTLE L COMPLEX FIRE RETURNS TO WATCH AND ACT

Little l complex fire has been upgraded to watch n act in the last few minutes as fire activitie increases in the area due to strong winds.

Cessnock Leagues Club is the official evacuation center.

The fire is burning to the west of Paynes Crossing, Laguna and Wollombi.

The fire has spotted across Stockyard Creek trail.

Fire activity increased last night due to strong west to north westerly winds on the fireground.

If you are in the area of Yengo, Wollombi and Laguna, and your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now towards Cessnock.

If you are in the area of Stockyard Creek or Paynes Crossing, monitor conditions. Know what you will do if the fire threatens.

Leaving early is the safest option.

Yengo creek rd is closed due to fire activities.
