Residents in the Fassifern area are urged to come forward with any information or dashcam footage regarding a theft that occurred on April 30th between 7:15 am and 2:00 pm at the Fassifern train station. A concerned citizen is seeking assistance after their locked canopy was forcibly entered, resulting in the theft of approximately $4000 worth of power tools. The victim has filed a police report and is appealing to the community for support in recovering the stolen items.
The incident took place while the victim’s vehicle was parked at the station, facing the incoming road (see image). The victim, who was unable to drive due to an injury, had temporarily swapped vehicles with their father, explaining the presence of the car at the station. Expressing profound distress at the loss of tools accumulated over an entire apprenticeship, the victim implores anyone with information to come forward.
“I’ve worked tirelessly to build up my tools as a tradesman, and having everything stolen is gut-wrenching,” the victim shared.
Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or the Toronto Police Station. Community support in sharing this information is also appreciated. Let’s work together to bring these perpetrators to justice and recover the stolen property.
