A man has been charged following a Raptor Squad investigation in the Hunter Valley that allegedly uncovered a large quantity of drugs, cash and prohibited weapons.
About 6.30am on Tuesday 30 December 2025, detectives from Raptor Squad North attended a home on Comfort Avenue, Cessnock, to carry out a Firearms Prohibition Order search. A crime scene was established and a search warrant executed.
During the search, police allegedly seized around $20,000 in cash, approximately 650 grams of methylamphetamine, 50 grams of heroin, one litre of GHB, two tasers, several mobile phones and an allegedly stolen vehicle.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to Cessnock Police Station, where he was charged with seven offences, including multiple drug supply offences, possessing a prohibited drug, dealing with the proceeds of crime, possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit, and breaching bail.
The man was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 2 on Tuesday 30 December 2025.
