Man Charged After Suspicious Package Scare at Glendale Shopping Centre

A man is set to face court today after a suspicious package sparked an emergency response at a Glendale shopping centre in Lake Macquarie last week. Emergency services were called to a bus stop on Stockland Drive, Glendale, about 9.35am on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, following reports of an unattended bag. Police from Lake Macquarie Police District attended the scene and located a black duffel bag containing an alleged threatening note.
