A tragic kayaking accident has claimed the life of a 38-year-old man in Upper Colo, near the Hawkesbury River.
Emergency services were called to Upper Colo Road at approximately 12:22 PM after reports that the kayaker had been pulled from the water. Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hawkesbury Police Area Command has established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Authorities are yet to release further details as investigations continue.
