MAN IMPALED ON METAL BAR FROM FENCING EQUIPMENT

Emergency services were called to a Lovedale property this afternoon with reports of a man who had been impaled on a metal bar from fencing equipment. The Westpac Rescue critical car team performed a delicate procedure at the scene to free the man. Cessnock District Rescue Squad assisted in carrying the man to the waiting Westpac Rescue Helicopter. The man was then flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition....
