Pokolbin, Hunter Valley – In a heart-stopping incident last night, a vehicle lost control and rolled multiple times before colliding with a tree on Broke Rd. Fortunately, the driver, who was the sole occupant, emerged from the wreckage unscathed, leaving rescuers astounded.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene at approximately 9pm when the Firecall crew received a distress call regarding a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA). Upon arrival, they discovered the mangled remains of the vehicle, a testament to the violent nature of the accident. However, the occupant’s fortuitous escape from the wreck left rescue personnel relieved.
Promptly ensuring the safety of the area, the Firecall crew cordoned off the scene using flagging tape before returning to their station. The successful outcome of this incident is credited to the coordinated efforts of the New South Wales (NSW) Police and NSW Ambulance, who also responded promptly to the distress call.
Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution due to the recent foggy and wet conditions prevailing across the valley. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and adjust their driving according to the prevailing weather conditions, ensuring the safety of themselves and fellow road users.
