A man has died and another remains in a critical condition following a motorcycle crash in the Hunter Region.
Emergency services were called to Putty Road at Garland Valley, about 90km west of Cessnock, about 3.20pm yesterday (Sunday 7 September 2025), after reports two motorcycles had collided.
One rider, a man aged in his 50s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
The second rider, a 58-year-old man, was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established, with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examining the area.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
