Transport for NSW has confirmed a new speed zone change following a recent review of Averys Lane, between Main Road at Heddon Greta and John Renshaw Drive at Buchanan.

From Wednesday, 8 July 2026, the speed limit on Averys Lane will be reduced to 50km/h.

Authorities say all residential side streets connecting to Averys Lane are already subject to the 50km/h urban default speed limit and will not require any additional signage.

Variable message boards will be in place to alert motorists to the new speed limit until 26 July 2026. Drivers are urged to watch for the new signs and adjust their speed accordingly.
