NEWCASTLE PUB SLAPPED WITH $5000 FINE

The Prince of Merewether was fined for violating public health orders in connection with COVID-19. Newcastle City Police were carrying out business checks when they went to the venue at 9:00pm Officers observed the venue wasn’t adhering to the one person per square metre rule and was in excess of its allocated head count. The venue was slapped with a $5,000 fine....
